A company we'd still want to run twenty years from now.

Our story

Ian Alexander and Garrett Milster have built software products together for years: RepairTech, Kabuto, and Syncro, a unified PSA and RMM platform that grew to more than 140 people before it was acquired by private equity.

After that, we didn't want to chase the next rocket ship. We wanted a company built to last, one we'd still want to run twenty years from now. Sacramento Labs is that company.

We build some products from scratch, sometimes with researchers, public-sector experts or early founders who know a problem deeply and need help turning it into a product. We buy others from founders who built something good and are ready for someone else to carry it.

Philosophy

Evergreen, not exit-driven. We aren't building to sell. The question behind every decision is what we'd be proud to still own twenty years from now, and it shapes the tools we pick, the markets we enter and who we hire.

Niche on purpose. We look for overlooked industries with real, recurring problems: markets big enough to support a durable product but too small or too unglamorous for venture capital.

Build and operate. Design, engineering, go-to-market and support all happen in-house. We run several calm, manageable products across different industries rather than betting everything on one.

Durable products. Every product has to be profitable, maintainable and calm to operate. We aim for focused tools that solve 80% of the problem for 80% of users, and avoid the ones that need constant firefighting.

We say no to most ideas, including:

  • Huge markets that need massive marketing spend
  • Unproven concepts looking for a problem
  • Products that demand constant reinvention
  • Heavily customized, one-customer solutions
